Wild Boar are common throughout the region and are known to the New
Zealander’s as “Captain Cooker’s” after the 18th Century Explorer who introduced them to the country. Wild Boar are common to the same habitats as Red deer and hunting them is an enjoyable way to spice up your hunt and sharpen your skills. With no predators on either island of New Zealand, Wild Turkey are extremely abundant and hunting them is permitted all year round. For those who enjoy hunting “Gobblers” we recommend packing your Turkey gun. |

| In New Zealand Canada Geese are equally as abundant as the Wild Turkey. A short 45 minute drive will get you to some of the best Goose hunting in the country. Wild goats are also found in good numbers and if you have some additional time, are enjoyable to hunt. |
