Is a totally unique experience. The properties hunted, or stations as they are called in Australia, range from 440,000 acres up to 1,200,000 acres. This area is some of the remotest country in the world and is teaming with wildlife unique to the region. As with all Big Shooter Hunts the game is wild and hunting is fair chase. |
Australia’s top end is renowned for it’s quality population of south east Asian deer
species of, Rusa deer and Chital deer. These deer thrive in Australia’s climate which is similar to their own and the remoteness of the region helps in harvesting large animals. Rusa deer, which originated from Indonesia, are semi nocturnal and typically produce a 3 x 3 or 6 point rack. Chital deer on the other hand are a spotted deer with multi pointed antlers. Chital deer originated from the grass lands of India and Sri lanka and not surprisingly do equally well in the flat tropical climate of north eastern Australia. |
